Working to ChampioN black mental health and provide community-based solutions in the hackney area

In these unusual & trying times, we now offer telephone and online support and delivery of services. We may have changed the way in which we work, but NOT the work we do.

It’s time to get talking about the tricky stuff

Who We Are

IRIE Mind is a new mental health initiative, run by and for the African-Caribbean community in Hackney. Led by Mind in City, Hackney and Waltham Forest, IRIE Mind was launched in October 2019.

What We Do

IRIE Mind is an awareness raising group, but also runs services for the black community of Hackney. Explore the site for more information, or get in touch through our ‘Contact Us’ page if you have any questions.

Isaac Carew at Nyam & Go group

Model, chef and Mind supporter Isaac Carew visited IRIE Mind, spending a morning meeting local residents and taking part in the Nyam and Go group.

My Story Your Story
